Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a specialty service performed by a Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist, assisting the body in the removal of excess fluid. Results are immediate, with full effects continuing 24-48 hours following your MLD session. PRE-OP Schedule in your PRE-OP Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) 24-48 hours before your booked surgery date to jump start the lymph system and boost your body's white blood cell count. POST-OP After booking your surgery, it's best make the next phone call be to your chosen Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist for all POST-OP MLD therapy sessions in order to lock in your treatments. Waiting until after you've had your surgery may mean that your chosen therapist is already fully booked up. CMLDTs specializing in post-surgical care are in high-demand offering this specialty service of Vodder-style MLD therapy. Unless your Dr. has given you specific instructions on how many MLD sessions they recommend, a typical approach is - WEEK 1 POST-OP - 3-4x/week WEEK 2 POST-OP - 2-3x/week WEEK 3 POST-OP - 1-2x/week WEEK 4 POST-OP - 1x/week WEEK 5 POST-OP - 1x/week WEEK 6 POST-OP - 1x/week Or, an even easier schedule - WEEK 1-6 POST-OP - 2x/week for 4-6 weeks You may begin post-op MLD therapy as early as the day following your procedure. Cancellations this close to your scheduled time do not allow Full Circle Vitality to book services in place of your cancellation, therefore 50% of will be charged if your cancellation falls within 24 hours of booked service.
